Commercials

Commercial advertising has always been a central feature of American culture. Some people hate them and some people love them. Will they ever go away? They are essential for business and political support also health awareness. For example NFL's Super Bowl is about drinking -- and football -- it’s also about business.CBS charged between $3.8 million and $4 million for every such spot that will be shown during the game between the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens of 2013. Everyone is aware that November 4 is election day, however in previous months candidates use advertisements to gain vote's from registered voters and possible inspire people to actually exercise their right to vote.  By law each radio station has to sell political candidates commercials at the cheapest rate offered. For instance: the shyster used car dealer in town buys 1000 commercials a year and he gets a discount making each commercial cost only $1 dollar. Negative ads do inspire people to seek out more information about certain issues.Negative ads are necessary and they're a part of our democracy and freedom of speech. Many people believe that negative ads are unnecessary and do no good when in reality they actually motivate most people to vote while also bringing attention to what could be important topics. For instance, Coca-Cola has created smaller portion products like mini-cans for portion control. This means people don't have to drink a whole 355ml can of Coke anymore if they don't want to. Also, Coca-Cola has added calorie counts on all its cans to educate consumers on what they're putting in their bodies. Overall commercials have it's pro and con's, however considerer will t.v. ever be the same without the commercials that allow you to take bathroom breaks during your favorite television show.
